Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you are a chocoholic like me, you will love this! Warm chocolate cookie encased in melty white and dark chocolate chips.

Super simple chocolate chip cookies!

It starts off by creaming butter with white and brown sugar, adding vanilla and an egg, then the dry ingredients, and fold in the best part- the chocolate chips! You could use just plain dark chocolate chips, but I used a mix of white and dark. Dollop them on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake! No chilling the dough or letting them sit in the fridge or anything. You can satisfy your craving in 30 minutes, and trust me it really does.

Double chocolate chip cookies

1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
Pinch of salt
1 1/4 cup plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 165 degrees celsius.
In an electric mixer or handheld mixer, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and egg, scraping down the sides of the bowl as necessary.
Sift on the plain flour, baking powder and cocoa powder and mix on low speed until almost incorporated.
Fold in the milk, followed by the chocolate chips.
Drop into tablespoon-sized balls on a parchment lined cookie sheet snd bake for 15-20 minutes until the edges are set the centres are still soft.
